HUMAN RESOURCES COUNCIL
On September 26, the Union County HR Council will welcome Myra Wilson, Director of the OSU Alber Enterprise Center. Ms. Wilson will speak about methods and tools to help move organizations away from the silo mindset and create a customer-focused organization.
Work is progressing at Marysville’s new 33 Innovation Park. Bids have been received and construction will soon begin on the first phase of Innovation Way, an interior access road at the 206-acre site. Construction is anticipated to be completed in October.
FIBER CONSTRUCTION BEGINS
Construction started in June that will bring the region one step closer to self-driving vehicles. 35 miles of high-capacity fiber optic cable will be installed underground alongside US 33 between Dublin and East Liberty in Logan, Union, and Franklin Counties.

Already home to over 50 automotive suppliers and world-renowned automotive assets, Ohio’s 33 Smart Corridor continues to attract attention from around the world. Recent investment in fiber and smart transportation infrastructure, totaling $217 million, has allowed the corridor to emerge as the Midwest’s premier location for automotive testing, autonomous and connected vehicle research and development, and smart infrastructure implementation.
