The decision to issue tax incentives is one we do not take lightly. Installation of 35 miles of 432 strands of fiber optic cable alongside US 33 between Dublin and East Liberty in Logan, Union, and Franklin Counties was completed in October 2017. Construction of the redundant loop along Industrial Parkway will begin in Spring 2018. This infrastructure will allow Union County and Marysville to become the Midwest’s proving ground for AV/CV testing.
Ohio’s 33 Smart Mobility Corridor
Already home to over 65 automotive suppliers and world-renowned automotive assets, Ohio’s 33 Smart Mobility Corridor continues to attract attention from around the world. Recent investment in fiber and smart transportation infrastructure, totaling $217 million, has allowed the corridor to emerge as the Midwest’s premier location for automotive testing, autonomous and connected vehicle research and development, and smart infrastructure implementation.
